Walking right in God's ways: Evangelism

The gospel is for all men. God knows nothing of the barriers of class, creed or culture; he wills that all should reach repentance and be saved. 'He bestows his riches upon all who call upon him. For, "every one who calls upon the name of our Lord will be saved.' Therefore the gospel must be shared with others. A student once asked Charles Spurgeon if the heathen who had never heard of the gospel would be saved. Spurgeon answered, 'It is more a question with me whether we who hear the gospel, and fail to give it to those who have not, can be saved.' Indeed, the task of evangelism must at all costs not be neglected, since the gospel has been 'entrusted' to us and laid upon us, so that we are now called to 'serve' the gospel. As William Barclay very neatly expresses it:' A man must give life to that which gave him life.' Further, the responsibility to spread the gospel is such a solemn and urgent one that Paul took the greatest pains, regardless of personal cost or suffering, to make quite sure that he would never 'put an obstacle' in the way of it.

Are ready on this day to spread the Word, despite of sufferings or persecution that you may suffer? Though people mock at you for being crazy, and always reading the Bible, are you going to stand firm in the last days? Standing by the promises that you've made to God, standing by your convictions... Or are you just going to sit in the comfort zone, not willing to move forward? God is ready to touch your life this day; the question is are you ready? Are you still going to reject what God has in store for you? Let us encourage one another in the last days before the coming of the Lord, standing firm though the storms are drawing near. Go on to your schools, camps, campuses, workplace and reach out to the people there. And we'll see revival of the school, camp, campus, workplace and our nation!
