It was weird that i never attended the Agape Healing Rally on saturday and sunday. Maybe i should have told my family that i had something on saturday. Anyway that Sunday i couldnt go to church. Will there be a breakthrough that i can attend church every Sunday? I will pray.. God will make a way when there seems to be no other way.

I had to go back camp at 530am on monday to work, so it was a matter of stay in or go early the next morning by cab. Luckily i invited two of my section mates to watch soccer at my house. Manchester United did not play quite well but they were determined to carve out a result. A win. My sleep lasted 3 and a half hours before i had to go camp. It was like range during bmt. So little sleep.

It was yet another ring from the 3G ops room. What was it this time? This time it was not to inform me of a guard duty two days later, it was to ask me if I could come down for guard duty as soon as possible. I was on the way back from macritchie. I was stunned. But luckily my CSM awarded half day off for today. Yah, i did duty last night till this morning.

As i reached camp at 1950, i saw my newly posted friend going to the canteen. Sergeant. I realised that Eric was doing guard duty too. As guard 2. Maybe God wanted me to come for guard duty to talk to Eric. Ya, to build a friendship. He said he seldom did guard duty. He did yesterday to replace a friend. I did yesterday to replace no one but because there was lack of a guard. In fact, this guard duty was not boring because i reached at 830pm. The usual reporting time is 530pm. And thats why i'm back early to type this post. I'm so tired. I did sentry duty from 830pm to 1030pm and 230am to 430am. Didnt really sleep well. I met my senior, he was my Hose house captain. Ya.

I went for saturation with my cell group two days ago. Realised that there were many people out there who are poorer and sadder than us. Staying alone in a small one room flat for me, I would not like it. but guess its like that when u are old and alone. I think as long as one knows Jesus Christ and God, our hearts will not be empty. In fact, we could go through each day being happy rathere than sad. Our God is our rock and salvation. Jesus has died for us on the Cross. Thinking of my cell members who will fetch the elderly to service on sunday, i feel that each has different abilities and thus we should learn to help others in different ways.

Haha, I'm going to sign up for the standard chartered marathon in next week, to run for Habitat for Humanity. I've already asked my camp mate Chun wei and my church friend Fernell. Fernell says he wants to run the 42km. Hope God bless him, Chun wei and me. I'm quite tired from training so far, ran a 18.5km on mon n 14km today. I did not do quite well, I just felt my left knee and my calf pain. Maybe its a muscle strain. and tomorrow i have a 10km race. I shant talk about it, ya, actually it is'nt for me to run, but my sir called me to run. Guess i have no choice.

Then i got to think about preparations n training for the marathon. We just cannot go for the marathon unprepared right? We just have less than 3 months to train for it. Guess its only the beginning, have to urge my friends to train for it. It's just like preparing for an exam, only if we put in hard work, will God help us. It'll just like my A levels last year. I have to thank God for helping me in my studies after the prelims till the A levels. Everyday before our papers, some of my classmates will gather to pray before the paper starts. Thank you Jesus.

Today was a killer, ya, before i went for training, my stomach was very pain, must be some gas stucked in my stomach again. I went to MacritcHie and felt better after that. We had to run 18.5km today. It was a 10.5km route plus the route we usually run. Was so tired that i felt like giving up. I dont know what do people think when i run. Some would think of the finishing part, the satisfaction, while some thing of other things they can motivate themselve. But i thought of God n Jesus. The weather was really hot and i really wanted to fall out everytime i reach a water point. So i kept going till the end lo, i just went slow, but made sure my sir Warrent Lim dont catch up, like that a bit embarrassing. Haha..

I went to church yesterday. Sang many worship songs. Praise the Lord. The God is the perfect n almighty God. Pastor was talking about fear, ya.. I think next time i got to write things down when i go church. Ya, sometimes i cant remember. Or most of the times.

Woke up so early in the morning at 4am. My friends and I had to meet our sir as he was fetching us to Seletar Camp for a competitive run. It was a combat engineers camp, quite a great experience seeing a new camp. Little did i knew that i would be running past the bus stop to the gate later; it was about 1km like that. I had never run very long as a competitive race already. The last time was last year July in the National schools 5000m. Today was a 15km run. It was raining early in the morning already and it was making me cold, never come so early for the run.

Soon, the MC said that we would begin the run shortly. The word "Shortly" was going to be used many times later. For the Colonel came, for the warm up to begin, for the run to start, he kept mentioning shortly that we took so long to gather before the stage. Shortly right? So we could take our time. To people, this would mean 5 or 10mins. The only substitute he used was soon. Haha.

The race had begun. There were 4 invitational teams. One commando, one artillery and two Maintenance Engineering Support(MES) teams. Whats MES? I guess no one has heard of it. The commamdos ran as a pack in front right at the start. I followed but i couldnt keep up with it. My two sirs, and many more of my friends cut me too. Was tired as i started fast. Then we took the assault boat maybe after 7 or 8km i guess. it was cool, two people plus the driver of the boat. REached the other part of the island very soon. Exciting! After running so long, i saw 3km left. I was very sad. so long to go still.

Finally started to see the camp already, we had already run to many parts outside camp, saw youth flying club on the way too. I cut about five to seven guys at the end, some were my friends while some were from artillery and i finished 18th out of all the invitational sides, out of 40 plus people. There were many more from combat engineers. My team got 2nd out of the invitational teams, got a trophy. However, i was'nt there to collect because i went for massage. Haha..

After that, we went to the prata shop to eat. Jalan Kayu Prata shop. ATe roti john, one prata and teh tahrik. Shiok. Then we took our sir's car back. So tired. Half day off!

Training has been going on for 3 weeks already. Thank you Lord for helping me to improve. I can run close to the Lieutanent already. However one of my friend is super fast, cant even catch up with him. We are not in his class at all! I feel I can get into the team for MES formation now. Thank you Jesus for being with me, giving me the strength to go through these few weeks of training. Friday will be 18km already, the full distance of 21km is reaching soon. Just a month more and it'll be over. Never thought in army I'll get to run for formation. I thInk by next year I'll retire from running. Next year will be my last year, since there's a chance to run in army.
